Juventus midfielder and ghana play maker Kwadwo Asamoah had a successful surgery in Barcelona, Tuesday, to fix a torn cartilage in his left knee.
The 25-year-old, according to an official statement from the Old Lady, is expected to return to competitive action “within three to four months.”
The Ghana international will miss the Africa Cup of Nations due January 18 to February 7, 2015 in Equatorial Guinea.
He has been on the sidelines over the past few weeks and missed Ghana’s last two Afcon 2015 qualifying games against Uganda and Togo.
The surgery was carried out by Dr Ramon Cugat and was accompanied by club doctor Causarano.
