Uganda’s recent repressive and draconian laws on sex and sexuality are not affecting only homosexuals, it seems. Miniskirts are considered too suggestive  for the consumption of public eyes  – they are contraband, when worn.
In a Ugandan court of law, the session’s plaintiff and defendant were arrested and jailed for contravening the Anti-Pornography Act through donning the illegal attire. The Act defines pornography as the representation of the sexual parts of a person to bring about arousal. The offence was therefore seen as contempt of court. Presiding Judge Catherine Baguma sentenced the duo to 3 hours in jail and postponed their case by 3 days.
