Over 12 million people have now seen the chilling video of the Ugandan babysitter who brutalised a toddler, slapping the child repeatedly, thrusting her on the floor and hitting her with a torch light, before kicking the child on the head twice and stamping on her back

The Director of Criminal Intelligence and Investigations Directorate (CIID), Grace Akullo, said the maid who has been identified as 22-year-old, Jolly Tumuhiirwe, has since been charged to court under the Prevention and Prohibition of Torture Act (PPTA) 2012 and remanded to Luzira Prisons.
On December 8, the case will be called in court and Tumuhiirwe faces up to 15 years in jail if she is found guilty, according to a report by New Vision. Things could actually get worse for her as prosecutors intend to amend the charge from torture to attempted murder.
Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga said Tumuhiirwe, who has been tested and found to be of sound mind, confessed to hitting the toddler, whose name is Arnella, with a torch.
